About Me

Hello all,

Migraines have been a part of my life for 20 years.  They came on suddenly and have been part of my life since then.  I had a TIA a few years ago, but the doctors don't believe there is any connection to migraines. I have noticed that most of the migraines happen when the weather gets wonky.  I also avoid our local do -it -yourself stores, although the fumes in Menards aren't as bad as Lowes.

I work in the health care field. It is difficult and emotionally draining sometimes, but I can't imagine doing anything else.

I am happily married to a wonderful guy who is patient and supportive of me.  He understands that sometimes I just have to stop and lie down.  My first migraine in three months happened last Saturday(we were outside and it rained) I took some medicine and slept for about an hour and I was fine. My husband and I love to sail and we are going to live on our sailboat when we retire in less than a year. We took sailing lessons in June and we are certified blue water sailors now!

My avitar is a picture of our beloved rescued Boston Terror named Rocky.  He is  part of our family and he loves to go sailing with us, swim in our pool,  take a shower, or take a bath.  Just don't try to get him outside when it is raining.

My doctor is supportive and helpful.  Although I have asked for a pain shot twice in the last four years, there was no hesitation about getting me in and giving me the shot.  He even turned off the room lights while I was waiting for him.

We have five children, the oldest thirty three and the youngest is twenty five.  We have one boy married and living in Germany, and the oldest boy (man? he is still my baby boy :o) is getting married to a lovely lady in October.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful children.

I look forward to my life changes and I hope I will continue to grow as a person.
