Your Migrains
Carmela Iavarone
Sunday, May 03, 2009 at 11:00 AMI went through what you are going through and NO ONE could help me either. But one day, in my total destress, I stumpled upon a doctor who does nothing but migrains and I started taking what he suggeste, and IT WORKED!! I no longer have migrains and vomiting. It doesn't cost me a lot and if you pay attention to yourself and symtoms you can adjust it to your monthly needs. If you want to know more I would be more then glad to help you!

Lyme Disease?
Shirley
Monday, July 06, 2009 at 01:50 PMMy daughter started getting her migraines in Feb. 07. They have been so bad she missed most of her freshman year of high school. Had to drop out for on-line classes that she still had a hard time accomplishing, till we started making some progress with her migraines. Progest50 and magnesium, Omega's and St John's Wort, really helped her. She was very sick about the same time they started and still has a lot of lingering symptoms from that (she has been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) so she is being tested now for suspected Lyme Disease.
As it (Lyme) is can become a neurologic illness if left untreated it can trigger migraines. Lyme is found in every state now according to the CDC. Some places its more prevelent than others. You should find a doctor that knows something about lyme and get tested. Check out the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS).

Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!
I'm sorry I haven't welcomed you sooner, I missed your SharePost
.
Being without health insurance put us in a tough spot. Have you questioned the clinic on their policies regarding non-generic prescribing? When you get the prescription, can you ask the pharmacist for the generic? Isn't that our right? If not, is there another clinic, or large hospital with a teaching center near you? Sometimes they have teaching centers with clinics that accept patients at discounted rates. They may have headache and/or pain clinics you may want to look into.
There is a program called Partnership for Prescription Assistance for people who lack prescription coverage. Some pharma companies also have assistance programs you may be able to check into.
