    Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.

     

    I don't know what article you read, but sumatriptan does NOT come from capsaicin. In fact, capsaicin is sometimes used to TRIGGER Migraines for clinical trials.

     

    Also, it's very important that anyone considering trying oral capsaicin discuss it with their doctor first. It has potential side effects including increasing the risk of bleeding, increasing the amount of absorption rate of other herbs and prescription medications, and more.

     

    Thank you for sharing what works for you. If you haven't already, I hope you'll discuss this with your doctor.

    Apparently my facts are incorrect. However, what I mentioned works for me consistenly. I can live with a 30 minute window of pain. I was at St.John's Mercy Hospital in St.Louis when I read the article. It's really been a long time ago so I don't doubt that I made a mistake. Again, I'm sorry that I'm incorrect. Hope you have success in journey to a pain free existance.
