I have lived with migraine all my life. I'm 62. I have tried many alternative therapies as well as many preventative and abortive meds.
Fall of the year seems to be the worst time for me when I have migraines more than 15 days a month. My Headache Specialist put me on 'tizanidine' this month and so far it seems to be helping me.
I had gotten myself into a mess of rebound headaches. Stopping abortive meds is really hard but with the support of my Dr. and family I was able to get through some tough days and now have fewer bad days.
Today I will try acupuncture because I believe that the more pro-active you are the better the results.
