The results of a study by Ann Scher, PhD, a Migraine Research Foundation 2007 research grant winner, have been published in the June 24 issue of JAMA, the international peer-reviewed journal of the American Medical Association.  Dr. Scher, of the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, headed the team which examined the relationship between migraine in middle-age and late-life stroke in a group of Icelandic adults.  The abstract of the study, Migraine Headache in Middle Age and Late-Life Brain Infarcts, can be found at http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/short/301/24/2563
