Yes, thank you for this post. It is encouraging for me, too, to be reminded of the positive developments in the migraine world. After 40 years of migraine, it sometimes seems like we have come so far and yet in some ways are still so much in the dark. It also feels like public perception is finally starting to change... and I am always grateful for our dedicated professionals. So here's to the future!

I have to work on my migraines from a preventative angle because nothing i've tried will take the pain away.  The most anything does is spread it out, which does make it easier to handle rather than it all being concentrated in one spot.

This can't happen soon enough.  You can do preventative measures only so much.  Migraines interrupt a normal life.  You plan social events that you can't go to.  Bosses and coworkers don't understand and are uncompassionate and consider you a copout.  People wear perfume as well as many other fragrant substances (fabric softener, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, other hair products, lotions, powders, etc).  Most environmental lighting is harsh and flourescent.  Most medications don't work and have side effects, especially set up rebound headaches creating a vicious cycle that you start to anticipate when this starts all over again.  I can only hope that physicians and scientists who are truly dedicated and exceptional enter this specialized field.  Because no one seems to know how to help migraine sufferers like me.  God bless the truly dedicated and compassionate individuals who want to help.  I pray that they succeed and help us all soon.  Thank you.

I agree with you 100%"the good wife", I'm in the same boat, I lost my job because of my migraines(no comments) I'm trying Botox treatments now because nothing works for me and,  after spend money and going to get a degree in something that i love doing Pastry Arts, my doctor suggests me to change my carreer.

It's just too demmanding and a lot of stress in the restaurant field, besides the hours.

That was a point where I had 23 migraines in a month, now I have 7, but still, the medication doesn't work and I have alot rebounds, not even doing the preventive treatment, I take 3 drugs a day for that.

I just hope that people(not doctors) stop looking at us like we just need an excedrin and that's it, like we fake pain, they don't know the hell we go.....

God bless all the people that help us and all of you guys like me, because we are like a "brotherood" i wish would be something to celebrate"a cupcake", "cake", "movie" but, one day we'll get there.....
