I was diagonosed with "Chronic Migraines" when I was 15 years old. I have been to countless doctors and neurologists and have had so many test ran from scans to mris... Im so frustrated... I have been on so many medications and have either had to have the doses upped or changed because I become immune to thier effects so I go to the herbal route... feverfew and others then back to the meds... I dont know what to do... food journals, diets, cutting foods and drinks out, sxercising.... I had a mirgraine for 7 days straight last week, migraine free but with a normal everyday headache for me for two days then back to my migraine for the past two days... I cant take it anymore... I tell myself, you dont have it so bad, you could have some inoperable diasease or incurable cancer.... WELL, I DO!! No one can fix me and Im so frustrated... please someone tell me what to do....I hate feeling sorry for myself but when this illness makes you incapacitated more often then not, what kind of life is that... I just want to be healthy and I dont know how....

Hello, and welcome to HealthCentral's Migraine Community!
Welcome to a wonderful community where you can find information, support and education about Migraine disease from people who truly understand it because we deal with it every day.
Being in chronic, daily head pain is exhausting, frustrating and very isolating. And although it sounds like you've seen all kinds of doctors, I wonder if you've seen the expert, a Migraine specialist who treats one disease only - ours - Migraines and headache disorders. You can think of it like this; when a pipe under your kitchen sinks breaks you call a plumber. He is the expert who fixes plumbing. You could call a handyman who can fix your broken pipe, and then fix lots of other things in your house. But a handyman fixes so many things he isn't an expert in plumbing. A neurologist treats so many different conditions, like MS, stroke, epilepsy and more, it's difficult for them to be experts (even if they say they are) in one area. As exhausting as it may be it may be time to find an expert. When you get a chance, take a look at article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.
I wonder if you take anything for your "headache" pain you have every day? This could be another problem. Sometimes doctors forget to mention this, but if we take Migraine abortive meds such as the triptans or ergotamines or any kind of pain medication -- prescription or over-the-counter -- more than two or three days a week can make matters worse by causing medication overuse headache (MOH), aka rebound. See Medication Overuse Headache - When the Remedy Backfires for more information on this. MOH on top of Migraine is no fun at all.
Another thing we find is that some doctors forget to talk to their patients about the fact that it can take up to three months before we see a reduction in our Migraine frequency when we start new medications. This may seem like forever, but unless we give each medication a fair trial, we'll never know if it was the "one" that would have worked. Unfortunately, patience is not something we have when we are in pain.
I see you mentioned a food journal. Have you kept one recently? It's a good idea to try again if you haven't in a while. Our bodies change over time and it's a good idea if we are having problems to keep one. We have a Migraine diary (typically you need to keep one for at least three months) you can download HERE.
