Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!

You are so right, it isn't good! But I hope you do well in your interview.

May I ask how often you are having a Migraine attack? If anyone is having three or more Migraines a month needs to be talking with their doctor about prevention. There's growing evidence that Migraine is a progressive brain disease. A recent study showed that Migraines can cause brain damage, and that people with three or more Migraines a month are more susceptible to this damage. For more information, see Is Migraine a Progressive Brain Disease? and Yes, Migraines Can Cause Brain Damage. Now, I don't tell you this to "freak you out," but that we give you all the information and support we can.

So, if your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

Oh ny gosh Erin!!! I can truly sympathise!!

Have you had the interview yet? Can you reschedule?

That's what happened to me 8 years ago when I was applying for a teaching post at the school I'm still teaching at. The interview went on and on...I was there pushing 2 hours...my head ready to crack open in spite of the Imitrex. I should have been in bed with the blinds down...instead I'm sitting there, with a smile painted on my (probably very pale) face, desperately trying to sound intelligent! Didn't want to tell them about the migraine...as I thought it might stand in the way of getting the position!

Please give me a heads up!!!!

Take care....linda.
