anxious about trip

By ERFLTRN Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Well I am heading to Dallas on Sunday to see Dr. Krusz on Monday and spend the week there hoping he can help me. 8 hospitalizations since Feb is riduculous. It has taken such a toll on my family. I am now day 6 with this migraine and nothing I have is working but I am afraid to speak with my primary or neurologist as they would probably want me in the hospital and I can not take the chance to fly out on Sunday. I am so unbelievably tired and emotionally drained from all of this.

I think if anyone can help you, Dr. Krusz can! He is wonderful!

Tell him I say hi!!!

Good luck!

Let us know how it goes!

I wish you well on your travels and appointment with Dr.K, but am a bit concerned aout your current six day Migraine. I think you know the drill - have you had a four-hour pain-free break while awake during these six days? Can't one of the doctors do an IV treatment in his office instead of spending day after day in the hospital? You do need to  break this cycle. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Do let us know how it goes when you get back ok?

Unfortunately the local doctors and even my VA doctor don't want to do anything really. My last hospitalization was for three days and they gave me IV pain meds, phenergan, steroids and magnesium. They also gave me valium at bedtime to help me sleep better.  I have printed stuff off the website and taken them to all my doctors only to have them say they did not feel comfortable utilizing any of Dr. Krusz's therapies. That is why I am so looking forward to seeing him and praying he can come up with a plan. The only stress relief I have had this week is that the VA has finally given me my 100% service connection which allows me to provide for my family. I have not had 4 hours pain free...maybe an hour or two after taking my medicine.

Thank you and take care.

Will let everyone know how it goes.

Kathy,

Give Dr. K. a hug from me!

I'll bet you don't leave his office in pain.

I know the trip and expense are difficult, but I'm sure you're going to be very glad you made this decision.

Hugs,

Teri

I do understand, darlin. I spent a week with Dr. K. in his office last November and went observed his patient appointments. It was so inspiring to see people leave with their pain lessened or gone.

Seriously, do be sure to tell him you're one of our members. He always likes to know.

I'll be watching to see how things go.

Teri,

I definately will do that. I would be happy with  the pain lessened and totally ecstatic with it  gone. My mom is going with me since my husband has to stay home due to work and we have five kids at home. WIll keep you posted.

Take care,

Kathy
