Hi cmartinez,

Tuesday, January 08, 2008 at 08:25 PMThe most important thing is that you are seeing a reduction in your Migraine frequency.
Topamax is best taken in a split dose, am and pm, so your body has a steady stream of medication in it. Click HERE for more information.
Keep us posted, ok?

Tuesday, January 08, 2008 at 09:23 PMAs far as the "brain fog" I noticed that once I stopped tapering up, probably after I'd been on the same dose for about a month, that feeling of losing train of thought and that cognative feeling went away for me.
I still get that way when I migraine, but the side effect from the Topamax seems to have gone away after I hit my recommened dose.
Good luck with it!
Keep us posted!

I think the hardest part is the tapering, after you are on your recommended dose, things kinda even out a bit.

Hi!
I'm just going off Topamax--not the right med for me! But I wanted you to know that my HA specialist recommended potassium to help with the "tingles." I started by eating more bananas, but ended up with a potassium supplement. You may want to ask your doctor about what to try if the tingles continue!!
