Thank you for your reply. I have been ready your comments on the main page on My Magraine Connection.com and now just read you profile. It must be difficult dealing with constant pain. I think it is wonderful what you do!
I also have a good friend with Lupus and usually she deals with her illness quite well although right now she is going through a difficult time because she will have her second hip replacement in a couple of weeks. Recently she has cancelled our lunches and dinners (even her birthday dinner at our place). I guess she feels nothing I can say to her will make her feel better. I wish I knew the right thing to say and do for her (just show up at her place or just abide by her wishes). I did tell her that she could count on me after her surgery as she did after her last surgery to help her out.

I am new as well.
You are right this website is great, and I have been reading as much information as I can over the past couple of weeks. I have been suffering from migraines for many years as well but was only diagnosed about 6 years ago. Mine also started after menopause (although it enduced because of surgery).
It is hard to believe that so many poeple suffer from migraines and I find this website somewhat of a support system as well. Teri gets to the point in her answers if you have a questions or in her comments.
It is important to have a qualified doctor and a support system. It seems this is not always the case especially in finding a good doctor and obtaining a proper diagnose.
