symptoms

I have been doing better since changing medications and seeing the headache specialist in SF. Eventhough the migraines are better I still get this wierd symptom that puzzles me. Sometimes I think it is the prodrome to the actual migraine other times I just don't know.
Usually the real migraine ends up on the right side of my head near my neck and on up. But previously I have been fooled with this wierd pain on the left side in my trapezius. It...

headache specialist visit

After a long drive to th Bay Area and a BART ride in the am to San Francisco. I made it to see the headache specialist. Dr. Goldstein. The best part of the visit was making it there and feeling pretty good, especially after the previous ' Bad Week' The next best thing was actually having someone listen to me for an hour. The whole thing was a little strange. I don't think I really expected anything miraculous but I felt like at least I had a new...

feeling like ..... and grateful just the same.

The month of August was so bad for me. I suddenly realized I was really afraid it could get even worse. After 15 some odd days of migraine and changing medications again. I finally hit a brick wall and landed in the ER for the first time in my life. " I kept saying to the ER physician I really don't want any narcotics. My neurologist said no narcotics." In the end that is what I got and I stumbled out of the ER for a short reprieve. By the...

supplements

I am curious to know if any one has had any luck with supplements like CoQ10 or Petolodex, B2 and magnesium. If so what dosages? Thanks

neck and back pain migraine

I am recently frustrated by the lack of effeciveness of my preventative meds. I have such wierd symptoms of neck and upper back pain that I am sure are migraine symptoms. This week it has gone on for 7 days. I just started on Lyrica and I am not sure if this will help. I hate to be negative but I am tired of medication after medication. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't think my neurologist knows what to do with me.

preventative medications

I am thinking of trying Lyrica. Has anyone had good success? I've tried a lot of different ones. Nothing is particularly great. I had a reprieve from a bad bout of Migraines after having had a surgery with anesthesia and switching meds again to Depakote and amytriptiline. Now they are returning with the same chronicity.

Relentless

I have suffered with these migraines for 29 years now. Wow! The last 5 have become progressively worse. I have entered into the chronic almost daily headache phase. All the doctors do the same things and want to try the same drugs with little effectiveness. I feel like an Immitrex junky. Has anyone had any good results with Botox injections... how can I find someone who knows what they are doing??? My neurologist wants to try that next.
