So heavy and viscous and thickset--the ink.

No, not in my pen, so then where do you think?

No, not in an inkwell--that's old; its outdated.

You don't have a clue to the question I've stated?

MY HEAD's the location. I see you don't know.

That's where it has settled. That's where the stuff flows.

Precisely the state of my migraine this day--

A stream of thick liquid that painfully plays.

At left eye it started. It's unheeded led

Near half the way back toward the rear of my head.

Ten minutes...ten hours...who knows the duration?

It fancies itself in my skull on vacation.

At left eye, then backward--the same trip to hell.

A new route at times for diversion as well.

It ends with the help of beloved medication.

That's when I say "Aah" and "Thank God" with elation.

But joy--it is tempered. I inwardly fear

Return of my foe, for his calling is near.

Perhaps a mere day or two until then,

He's ready for action--a visit again!
