I have talked with my dr,migrain specliast, neuroligst, and my diabetic dr as well.Every one has told me it runs in my family.I have had a MRI done and now I have a growth in my neck and they say that my migains somehow caused this growth in my neck?????????? Why has my life been so screwed up from migrains?????? has anyone else had a life like what mine is on a daily basis?

Hi Cindy,
Migraine is a genetic neurologic disease currently thought to be caused by overactive neurons in our brain and genetics.
Anyone who has three or more Migraines a month needs to be talking with their doctor about prevention. There's growing evidence that Migraine is a progressive brain disease. A recent study showed that Migraines can cause brain damage, and that people with three or more Migraines a month are more susceptible to this damage. For more information, see Is Migraine a Progressive Brain Disease? and Yes, Migraines Can Cause Brain Damage.
