...concerning the migraine I've had since the 26th.

Of all days, this morning was one when I woke up sans migraine.  But never to fear... it caught up to me shortly.

So, made it to the doc's office.  By the time he got in there, I was fairly miserable.  Told him that I HAD to get something to take care of the pain.  Told him the Lortabs didn't do much more than dull my brain, but never really took care of the pain.

Okay, so after about 15 minutes of discussion (about some other things too... I have arthritis, peripheral (diabetic) neuropathy, blahdah-yadda-blah...)

So anyhows, I left with a shot of Toradol in my hip, a script for Elavil (not sure about that) and some Imitrex samples.

Toradol did wonders.  Last time I had one in office for a migraine, it didn't work nearly as well.  It was around 3:20 or so that I had the shot and by 6:45, it had worn off.  I got to my mom's (where my kids were) and took an Imitrex.

Within probably 20 minutes, I started feeling "funny".  Like painfully stiff from just below my shoulder blades to the top of my head.  Sorta dizzy, too... more like um... well, dizzy, except not exactly.  *gah!*  Mad And up until that started to wear off around 8pm, it got progressively worse from there.  Somewhere around 7:30, the Dragon (as I've not-so-affectionately named my migraines) was moseying back with a vengence.

I'm headed to bed now, with Elavil ingested, so we'll see how well THAT one will work.

Oh, and I'll be calling doc back in the morning to get another appointment, return his nasty Imitrex and get something else to help with aborting the Dragon.

*sigh*

Inputations?  Tongue   Feel free to share!!!

Blessings---
