Does anyone have information on using Ergots to treat migraines? My fiance's doctor said he may have to stay in the hospital for 3 days to receive this treatment. The doctor said this would help "reset his brain" (my words) since he is "addicted" to Imitrex. I want to know if anyone has had this type of treatment and if it really works. I appreciate the information and support!
Medication Overuse Headache can be tough to stop. Ergotamines, like DHE, have been used to break a Migraine cycle. It sounds like a reasonable plan. What is most important is getting your fiance out of rebound and feeling better.
