Living with migraines has been interesting for me to say the least. I had two car accidents 5-7 years ago and since have had two neck surgeries and three discs replaced. Along with this a steel plate was installed in my neck as well. As a result of all of this my neck pain is pretty rough and keeps getting worse with any activity. I treid the opioid plan for several years, but got real sick of the roller coaster effect of these type a meds. I took myself off of them for a couple of years and just recently got back on them. I tried accupuncture, hypnosis and all the nerve proceedure available at the time.

To complicate matters two of my fussions did not take. No solid boney fussion.

The reason I am typing this is to see how many others out there have this type of migraine with neck pain association? It is very frustrating and really puts a cloud over the family life.

I have nailed these headaches down to simply knowing that if I do any activity that uses my neck and or shoulders that I will be suffering for 3-5 days afterwards. But then there are the 3-7 days out of the month that the headaches come on for no known reason.

I am sure this is old chatter for the many headache sufferers out there, but I would appreciate any feed back to your success or failures to the different proceedures available out there.

I have also tries just about every migraine medications that were appropriate, but since my headaches are neck pain related this medicine does not work effectivly.

Heres hoping for more managable days for everybody and hoping someday that it just goes all away.
