I had an awful experience at an ER this past weekend. Have you ever heard of treating a migraine by treating the nausea first? I was given two different typed of anti nausea and had a really bad reaction to the drugs which then then had to give me a two more drugs to sedate me. The 2 drugs were phenergan(which I have had many time) and the other I never had was Zofran. It was awful. My 22 yr old son was with me to drive me home in hopes of getting a shot for my migraine. they gave me the medicine at 8pm. He was so upset he called my husband at work and said Dad you need to come and help mom. I don't even remember getting home and I slept until 2pm the next day. I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this.

Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!
That combination of medications is used to treat Migraines in some hospitals. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but has your pain gone away? That really is important, because any Migraine pain lasting longer than 72 without a four-hour, pain-free break while awake may be a condition called Status Migrainous and needs medical attention. For more informaion, continue reading Status Migrainous - The Basics.
