Hit with a doozy and a very long wait at the ER

By Myth1977 Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Work was not that bad.  I had a dull migraine and extensive aura... mostly ear ringing, ear pain and some hearing loss.  But around 3pm things got bad and then they just got worse.  My bf convinced me to go to the ER.  I did not want to go because it is bright and noisy and often pointless.  But I went at 8:30 pm and saw a doctor at 12:00 and got out of their at 1:30.  Since I had already taken 3 toradol to no effect he gave me 2 percocet, which took a while to sink in, but when it did, it was blessed relief.  I still feel the migraine but it is significantly muffled, and oddly I still feel the ear pain.  I am just waiting for it to wear off a bit before taking my sleeping pill.  Still I have to get up at 7 am, and I am thinking I am going to go to work late, due to the fact last night I only slept an hour.

So I don't know if it was the sleep deprivation, or this heat or the fact this is my first day back at work, but whatever it was that was a very acute migraine.  So botox not as effective as I had been hoping, yet anyway.

Still waiting
