I am the stupidest smart person I know.  Honestly.  I ran out of my Axert script, as in used it too many times and can't get more for a week.  However, I had some Amerge left over.  I was getting some adverse affects from it, as in asthma attacks and shortness of breath.  But given the fact that if I miss one more day of work I will be fired, I essentially thought I could handle the aggravted asthma with more asthma medication.  And keeping my job is smart.  Aggravating the asthma is stupid, stupid, stupid.  And so I partially regret that choice, being as I have been ludicriously tired, dizzy and have had four major asthma attacks in two days, with the increase in asthma meds included.  I rather thought it made sense to kill the migraine first and foremost, to get to work, and then deal with any consequences.  But it has not been pleasant, and the desperate need for the inhaler more than once makes me realize, asthma not something to mess with... but how would I know?  Asthma is so finicky and new to me.  So when I talk to my doc I need to convince him to grant me adequent Axert to make it through a month, as the Axert does not affect the asthma in the same way, only just a little increase in shortness of breath.  But hey, it did get me through work the last few days intact.

Also, adding to my love of side effects is the Lyrica.  Which has been decreasing the migraine intensity, and to some degree the frequency (or so I like to believe, but wonder now that I ran out of Axert in half the time).  Anyway, it is causing some bad swelling in my knees and ankles, to the point of causing a pain, problems with mobility and bruising.  This side effect is not getting better and some days I have some serious problems getting around.  Nothing like taking a med to reduce one pain which then gives you another.  Because of this I am not sure I will be allowd to remain on it, yet fear going off it and returning to daily migraines, or worse having them mess around with other preventatives and having more side effects.  So not the time to be messing around with different meds when my job hangs by delicate threads of pure will power.

And I have a new doctor to contend with, as in a fit of migraine fogged pain filled mood swings I ditched the last one... which may not have been a bad choice, but means I have to deal with a new doctor... and doctor training takes years.
