Well, the Lyrica was definately working as a preventative, which I was aware of, even if it did not sound impressive... migraines three times a week and more for hormonal is way better than everyday. Plus the Axert just does not quite work as well as the Amerge and Imitrex, as in the migraine c...

Lyrica

I took Lyrica for awhile. The first 2 weeks, I was pain-free! I told the pain management doctor he was my favorite man! Well, spoke too soon, then The migraines returned. I have them about 4-5 times a week. I was getting them everyday. I have daily headaches also. If I can get that and take something that catches it, I can deal. But........if I get the slammin, hammering, nauseated migraine, .......forget it! Well, Lyrica started making me so tired in the 2nd, or 3rd month. So I stopped taking it. I read the side effects, and one is "unusual tiredness." Well, that would explain the feeling of being ran over by a bus, that I had when I was working. I can't work anymore, and filed for disability. No luck! I have to wait over 2 years to get a hearing date. I'm in Ohio. I just posted a comment to someone in Montana who has to wait a year. I wish I only had a year. But oh well, that's life. I only wish more people were aware of this dibilitating disease that we cannot always control with medication. I too, have tried many, and each time I was so hopeful. But now......I just pray, and I guess I'm still a little hopeful when I try something new. But.......I'm running out of options. Midrin helps me sometimes. Hope I can continue getting it. I had to call several pharmacies to find it. Good luck honey. I wish you the best......and God bless you!

Yeah, same for me... super tired, but also joint pain and inflamation.... however, I knocked the dosage down a bit and it has helped tremendously with the side effects, while it still seems effective. So I am pleased with the progress.
