Well after a six month visit with my Neurologist I am trying Topamax again. I was on it for about two months about 2 years ago but did not like the side effects.(numbness, jumbled thinking ect...) After a month long migraine I was willing to try anything! It has been about a week now (25mg.) I took a Zomig today for another migraine and it seems to be working. Has anyone outthere had sucess with Topamax? Please let me know, thanks. I am off to make supper, get kids etc...

Thanks for the response and information. I know you can relate! I have tried many other meds for preventative but I guess I have been denying the fact that my migraines won't go away. For the past several years I just have been on Zomig to abort attacks and it just got overwhelming again the last year. I finally decided to try, really try, this time a preventative and join this website. I have read it for so long and have gotten so much great information from it. Just to read that there are others out there who can relate is such a help to me! When I have a really bad day I can read about someone who has gotten better or gotten through a bad migraine and know there is hope! Thanks again,
