Government will never get with the program; VA coninues with the same old schedule 9 years later!

By drcop2u Sunday, May 04, 2008

For those of us veterans who have migraine as a service-connected disease, there has been no change in the VA schedule for compensation over the years. The proposed changes suggested and supported by MAGNUM apparently fell upon deaf ears, as does most improvements in the lot of the fighting men and women of this country. Regardless of the severity and disability of the migraines, the maximum schedule remains at 50%, and there is no permanent schedule assigned to migraine, even if you have had them 30-40 years with no significant improvement, regardless of treatment. The VA must believe in miracles, but can't seem to conjure up any for its patients and the vets it serves.

Hi drcop2u,

Injured veterans deserve better than the most of current VA health care system has to offer. It is a disgrace.

Have you written to your Senator and Congressman?  The VA answers to the our elected officials, and it's a starting place.
