Just had emergency surgery to remove a gallbladder. The surgeon said it was 4 times normal size and hadn't functioned in some time. I was lucky it did not rupture, could have been fatal.
What does this have to do with migraines? For years I've been having terrible pain in my right shoulder, ...

I want to thank you for your post. I've just been diagnosed with gallbladder dyskinesia. For over two years, I have had pain on the upper right hand quadrant of my abdomen, accompanied - ALWAYS - by a headache on the right side of my head. At best it was a dull ache, at worst, like a migraine.
Every single doctor I saw said that the headache "had no relation to the abdominal pain". They made me feel like I was crazy. What a relief it is to find, through this site and others, that I am not alone in this. Doctors and gastros: wake up! This is an important symptom and should not be ignored.
