I have suffered w/ migraines since I was about 11 years old. I'm 47 now, do the math. What a PAIN! I believe that hormonal changes affect my migraines as well as certain food allergies like gluten. But knowing that hasn't made them stop! After years of mind numbing pain to the point of ER visits for demerol, IMETREX saved me. But it also knocks me out a bit, makes my hands sensitive, sometimes makes my stomach feel uppity. I take 100 mgs. at a time as 50 mgs. aren't enough. Recently my Neurologist friend surprised me with some samples of TREXIMET. What a nice little mixed grill of pain relief! I took one and my headache disappeared along w/ my accompanying achey neck and face without feeling like I had been drug bombed. In fact, I often have to take Advil or Aleve w/ IMETREX and now this one pill seems to be the perfect blend of those two, 85 mgs Sumatriptan/ 500 mgs Naproxin. And I went on with my day without feeling wacky. I'm going to get a prescription ASAP. Or cut my head off. http://www.healthcentral.com/common/images/shareposts/hyperlink_c.gif
