headaches

By bburtx Tuesday, April 21, 2009

I have headaches I have at least one a day. Normally I have one take something for it and it comes back as soon as the medicine wears off. I've had headaches all my life. I'm so tired of having them. I take too much medicine already for other things. Sometimes I think I just need a new head.

you sound just like me.  For 20+ years I have had some form of headache-migraine or "regular" almost every day.  Sometimes they would go away with meds, sometimes I'd be in pain for days.  Went to neurologist, had complete workup, etc.  Recently my dr. told me to cut out all caffiene.  I didn't think it would be much help since I only drank one diet coke & a couple cups of weak tea per day.  I finally tried it- cut out all caffiene-including caffienated pain relievers-  my headaches have dramatically improved.  Still get them sometimes, but it is incredible to go for days at a time without a headache.  I still can't believe the difference.  hope this helps!

I have headaches every day as well.  I've had them since I was five years old.  I am tired of them too.  It's so frustrating having to arrange your entire life around how bad your headache is that day.  I've also been on tons of meds over the years, most of them making me more ill without helping the migraine.  The only thing that has helped me is vicodin.  And of course it's only helpful for the four hours until it wears off.  God bless you, and good luck with your pain.

I feel for you but start looking at your surroundings.  Bright sunshine--use sunglasses

food...I had to quit eating parnasean(sp wrong), cheddar cheese anything...unfortunately most everything has CC in it.  Perservatives!!  No 1  MSG---all lunchmeats usually have it in them but I eat the turkey, ham---love baloney but I get a headache but money is tight.  it can be several things,,,,perfumes-- yours or someone you work with.  Try writing down what you eat..start looking at the labels-- its amazing how much junk we are eating.  I love pizza and hamburgers but eating pizza I take my migraine right after I eat it.  It can be because of the weather--barometric pressure riseing-cold front- rain coming in and pollen---.  and If you take something everyday for your headaches..it can be hormonal-could just be allergies

or flash back headaches---  Hope this helps you out..just pay attention to your surrounds and when you get your headaches...
