prednesone anyone?

By nursecharity Friday, November 09, 2007
I now after being on preventatives, and years of frustration, finally am down to only a few bad migraines a year. I had a bad one hit me last week, found this site after trying to get answers, but I was in too much pain to get thru the registration process. I am now just getting the pain under control, thanks to prednesone, and wondered if any one else has this as a last resort med after a status migraine, and what they experienced. I called into work this morning...again...because I don't feel like myself yet, and being a welder, (I'm in school to be a nurse) the fear of weld flash setting off this migraine again is too stressful. Any one have any ideas on what I should do about side effects of prednesone, for next time...it seemed to be the only thing that stopped the migraine pain.
Teri's book is what saved me...
