Teri's book is what saved me...

By nursecharity Friday, November 09, 2007
It seems crazy, but to find this site and that the woman who wrote the book to help those of us in migraineville, is here, and I just wanted to say after reading that book, I took it with to my dr's appt, and told her about it, and without that book, I think I'd still be living that not-really-living life that you can't plan because of migraines constantly! My mom suffers too, and I bought her a copy in hopes she may at least feel relieved to see that there is hope, and people do understand and care. It has been our "migraine bible" so to speak. I just wanted Teri to know that I for one am so thankful to her I cannot even begin to tell her. Thank you so much for all your time and effort in helping others!

very lucky to have Teri on our side, patients I mean. She has brought a lot of attention to Migraine disease.

Teri's book is amazing and many people feel the same way you do.

Thanks for sharing I know this means a lot to her.

I've told her many a time - I feel like her book helped me to get my life back!

I can't even put it into words here now without crying.

She's the best!

I'm so happy it helped you too!!! And giving it to your mom as well - awesome!!!! I'm sure she will enjoy it just as much as you did!

Not only is the book informative and full of resources for people dealing with migraines, it is also inspiring.  I think it is helpful for all the knowledge and power I have gained by fighting and initiating more ideas for my own healthcare, but it has also given me inspiration that life CAN get better with this disease.  Hope is not completely lost.  If I am ever feeling a little sorry for myself, I can get on this site and know that I am not alone.  I am inspired by all the people doing so much more than I am doing to overcome the pitfalls of migraine disease.

Thanks so much Teri.i.

Marcia, Teri Roberts, the expert here on this site, wrote an excellent book called Living Well with Migraine Disease and Headache, you can find it at Barnes and Noble and such....good luck!
