but we can't tell you that cheleinms. Have you called your doctor about this? I can only imagine how difficult it must be to function in that condition.

Please call your doctor and see what he can do to help you.

Let us know how you are doing, ok?

I am so sorry that you have vertigo on top of migraines. I can tell you that I also did in the beginning when I first had my head injury which started my migraine process. There is a drug called meclizine that comes in 12.5 and 25 mg tablets. The first couple of times I took it I was a little drowsy but after that it no longer bothered me but did get rid of the vertigo. Ask your doctor about it...it is a prescription.

Be well,
Kathy

I too have been suffering from vertigo with migraines. I have had migraines since 1989 along with recurrent aspetic meningitis. The vertigo started last December. I have been to phsical therapists, acupuncture, adn ear, nose and throat doc. I had a neuro appt. today which was a dissaster. I ended up crying and firing her. she has pretty much lost interest in me for the last year, and has gone from prescribing meds to nerve blocks, to spinals to finally saying the best she can offer is stop caffeine. The vertigo will not go away for me either. I was told it will eventually go away. I am so tired of it. I am car sick every day, with the room spinning. It is a horrible condition. I am tired, and depressed, and sick of it all. Now I need a new Nuero, and am now without a doc. I just wanted her to give me a pain med for severe migraine, and I was denied. She said it was addicitve. I do now abuse the meds. I only take it when I am completely out of resources, and only one time. These doctors think every migraine patient is drug seeking. I need to find a new doc who will be interested and help me. Let me know if you find anything that helps you. It really stinks.

I too am firing my neuro. She is treating me like a drug seeker and I don't apprecicate it. I asked one time for stadol not knowing it is highly addictive, as that is what they give me at my regular dr's when I have to get a shot to get rid of a migraine. and she nearly flipped her wig. now the only meds I am on are inderal 120la and cymbalta. no pain drugs whatsoever. i have to settle for excedrine tension headache and percogesic to relive at least a small part of the pain so i can function. i am now on the lookout for a new neuro and since i finally got insurance i may be able to afford seeing him or her. i wish you luck in your search and hope you find some relief soon. my prayers are with you.

Vertigo can be a terrible thing to deal with along with migraine. Ask your doctor about meclizine or even over the counter dramamine can limit the effects. I just spent eight days in the hospital getting iv meds to break what is now being diagnosed as Status Migrainous. In other words a migraine lasting more than 72 hours. I am on my 8th neurologist so we will see what goes. Good luck and a pain free day to all.
