hello again

By cheleinms Monday, August 11, 2008

It has been awhile since i created a sharepost what with the tress of the new house being cloe to done and all. we moved in june 10,2008 and are finally all settled in. I stopped taking all my migraine meds at the end of june due to gaining 35lbs from the cymbalta and the inderal. I am currently suffering about three migraines a week and at the moment unwilling to return to the neurologist because of being gueina pigged again at 150.00 a visit i cannot afford it. I have a new drug call ketoprohin and i take it spareingly due to chances of rebound. I am dealing with this disease the best way i am able to patience and as much rest as i can. doesn't help that i am also an insominiac. yeah me. but I am smart enough to wear a red dog tag stating I have hemplegic migraines and my drug allergies because i drive a truck for a living and my one day be unable to relate my medical problems in case of an accident. wouldn't want to be treated for a stroke if i'm not having one would i? to all of you who have kept up with me. i appreciate it and this site has been a godsend at times. i wish all of you the best of luck and hope you find relief if not a cure.

just going day to day

it is good to hear from you, thank you for the update. I hear you about the weight gain on cymbalta.

HM is a rare form of Migraine disease, as you probably already know, and is best treated by a Migraine specialist.  Have you seen our patient recommended Migraine specialist list? Click HERE for that.

Keep us posted on how you are doing, ok?
