This week, I met with the neurosurgeon that my Migraine Specialist referred me to. I was so excited to meet with him and hopeful that he had answers for me. My husband accompanied me to the appointment for support. This is so helpful. He helps me listen and afterwards helps me remember what was...

I suffer from the daily brain rape of migraine headaches—the incapacitating delirium that seems impossible to avoid or control. My saga began at the age of nine with my first migraine. Migraines have controlled my life since then to some degree....for the past 3 years they have controlled me and my health on a daily basis. I have tried so many avenues to find relief; i.e. meds, meditation, yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic, osteopathic, and even herbal routines that have not provide relieve of any sort.....I feel your pain and understand that If someone would just say "this is what is causing your migraines" we would be grateful; but the reality is the top researchers are now learning more and more everyday and the old adage of the dilatation/constriction theory may not necessarily be true. I can only hope that the government cuts for medical research does not hit migraine research too hard as there are too many of us out there that NEED a form of relief so that we may try to live life..not to discount others who rely upon funding for their disease/disability....I too am seeing a specialist once again on January 26 and am holding out hope of all hope that he can help reduce this daily brain rape/pain. Thanks for listening and lets keep sharing our experiences and helping each other. God Bless
I feel for you and I am in he same boat, now I am getting migraines almost everyother day, being unemployed and having no health insurance can really cause a lot of stress. I pray every day that people can understand the extreme pain that migraines cause and how miserable we are.
What was the result of the angiogram?
How this is a good day for you.

Sonia,
Thanks for reading and writing. My result was good. I am getting ready to write a new share post about how it went. Long story, short, what looked like an aneurysm on the MRA turned out to be just a funny turn in one of the arteries in my brian. They said it is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. So, I will be going back to the Migraine Specialist. But, we've checked off another thing that is NOT causing my migraines.
