Funny Name, Great Taste, Bad Headache

By Rob Streno Thursday, October 05, 2006

This is probably a good thing, because Worcestershire Sauce is one of my wife’s favorite seasonings, and, short of sneaking into the spice cabinet one night, pouring it all out and replacing it with brown water, she’s probably going to keep using it. Case in point was the delicious stew that we had over the weekend. When I asked her what was in it, the final ingredient was (yep): Worcestershire Sauce.

I've realised I get a headache from Worcestershire (wu-ster-sher) sauce too! Mine is much quicker though - within a few hours. I'm English too, so I don't have the excuse that it is foreign. I wonder what the secret ingredient is??
