Migraine Thief

Every time I turn around
There is something new I found
This invisible disease has stolen
Something else I hold as golden

First it was the food I eat
I have to watch the good and sweet
This includes chocolate and tea
As many things typically affect me

Next anything with illumination
Light has become an abomination
No longer can I enjoy the rain
It makes me sick and causes pain

Another possession snatched that's key
Large gaps are now in my memory
I struggle to find the words to say
If they're located, I can stutter away

Playtime is not any fun
Cause when I try a little run
My head starts to thud and pound
Also feels like I've twirled round and round

Never to get back family time lost
It's a burden I must learn to cross
Work hours gone, missing income too
All part of what's taken because of this goo

Stolen are too many a friend
Is any of this ever going to end
When will this thief get locked away
Some peace is needed during our short stay
