What's happening to me!!

Frown That is just the way I feel everyday. I'm tired and I want to know what's happening to me! So tired of all the test, the doctors and the medications. The good, the bad and the oh so ugly sides effects of this disease. Although I should never ignore my health. It is much to important. Doctors don't even know what kind of migraine I have anymore. Yell I get a migraine everyday and they hurt. Why can't they heal me?

The aches and pains that get me at night and the daytime mares that stab me at work. I wish for something good to happen from all this. But oh there is. . .I learn so much about migraines. I learn to spell the word "M I G R A I N E. " The word itself is painful. I never find rest. Always one disappointment after the other. Try this new treatment or this new med. I just want to say stop! No more! But I keep going and going. That silly bunny never got sick.

Everyone online that sees this know what I go through and it's good days and bad days. It's not like a cold, you know what to do and it goes away. You're fine. My right side hurts and I cry like a baby with a diaper rash. But it won't go away and your not fine. Watch what you eat, excerice but not to much, don't take to many meds you'll get MOH, *SIGH* "calm down willy," as famous rapper said.

I must remember. . .

  •  I will take care of me.
  •  To get some quiet time. (You know what you need)
  • If I get frustrated I must take it minute by minute.
  • Always talk to someone. (Online, best friend, family)
  • Don't, stress meditate.
  • If I don't get everthing done, it will be there tomorrow.

 Have a pain free day!!

Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!

All that is so much easier said that done, isn't it dutchess? But let me tell you with the help of a good Migraine specialist, education and support some days are easier than others. Did you know it can take up to three months to see a reduction in our Migraine frequency and severity when we start a new medication? If we don't give new medications a fair trial, we'll never know if they work for us. It is very frustrating trying to find what works for us, sometimes it seems as if we've tried it all, but with so many possible preventives, it's literally impossible to have tried them all. See Migraine preventive medications - too many options to give up! for more information

I am so glad that I finally found people that have the same symptoms as myself.  I really thought my friends and family members thought I was going crazy.

Dutchess,

I think most of us have been just where you are.  It does take time, and can be very frustrating, but you do have some very good tools at the end of your post.  Keep them near you at work and at home as reminders... while we know we have these tools, we often forget about using them.

Sometimes it's not a single med that works but may be a combination and it takes a while to come up with that. This last month for me has been a blessing, I've had not much more than twinges or manageable headaches.  The change, I was put on a blood pressure medication.  For the most part, I don't have high blood pressure, but in high stress and with headaches, it has been known to go through the roof.  It has also helped in slowing down my speeding heartrate.  When I saw my Neurologist Wednesday he was pleased, my BP was 112/78 and I was very stressed out.
