I have been living with migraines since I was 16... I am now 36. One day Imitrex just stopped working for me. After trying several different meds, relpax seemed to work some of the time. (I have several different rescue meds that I will use depending on the level of the pain - including injectable toradol and nubain for those days when an emergency room would usually be the next step.) When my doctor suggested this med, I thought no way was this going to work! Surprise, surprise it worked great for me two times in a row for two seperate attacks. Heres to hoping for fewer needles in my future... (for a girl afraid of needles - you know the headaches are bad to give your self a shot.)
And kudos to the guys in packaging who finally figured out that woman do not want to carry those huge cardboard things that imitrex come on. The inch and a half round container that the sample came in is something that actually fits in my purse.
