I went to urgent care yesturday

I went to urgent care yesturday because I thought I had the worse migraine of my life. But the doctor told me I had a muscle spasm. I had never had one before so I thought it was a migraine. It had traveled from my back up the back of my neck to my head and that is were it has stayed that is why I was in so much pain. I am just really glad it was not a migraine because that was the worse pain ever to me.

then sorry. If it was the worse pain ever, you did the right thing.

Good for you for giving in and going. I hate to go, but I'm always glad I did.

What did they give  you for your muscle spasms? I've got Skelaxin to take at the first sign of head pain: much of my severe pain starts out in my neck and the base of my skull.

At times, I've been on Skelaxin or Flexeril daily. I had to stop the Flexeril last year because of dizzy spells. It was several years ago that I took the Skelaxin daily, and I don't remember why I stopped taking it.

I have Botox. My neurologist doesn't do it, and I go to a plastic surgeon. Dr. Botox injects my scalp, the base of my skull, neck, and shoulders. It helps. I go every three months.

I hope today is better! The worst pain ever, even if it turns out to be something other than migraine, is imperative to treat at Urgent Care or the ER.

they gave me phenergan (muscle relaxer) they also gave me a pain killer with a anti-inflammortory in it cataflam. I hope I never have pain like this again.

I hope you never feel that bad again, too! When I go, it's usually because I've had a monster (#7) that hasn't responded to Imitrex or my narcotic rescue for 2 or 3 days. Or if I've got a #8. I go to the ER for that. My Urgent Care doesn't give narcotics anymore. I get Toradol, an NSAID, and phenergan at Urgent Care. Phenergan is actually an anti-nausea med, but it also makes you sleepy.

The last two times I've been to Urgent Care, they've given me a prescription for 6 Demerol pills, in case the Toradol doesn't get rid of all of my pain. Toradol has brought the pain down to a 4 or 5, but the Demerol gets rid of all of it and really puts me to sleep.

I hope you NEVER see the inside of your Urgent Care again!
