I'm currently on a migraine preventative program taking topamax to block my headaches from going to migraine stage. If a headache should go to a migraine stage I then use imitrex for the pain.
I think alot of the members here would benefit from asking their doctors about such a program to block heaches from getting to migraine stage and a pain medication if and when headaches did get to migraine stage.
This program did wonders for my migraines and it seemed to bring down the number of migraines I did get [er week or per month. I think it's worth asking about to your doctor.
