Will Physical Therapy Help?

By AndrewsMom Tuesday, August 14, 2007

My son, Andrew, just turned 14 this month.  He has a very thin build.  He has grown a lot in the past several months.  I think his bone structure has gotten larger, but he hasn't had much muscle increase.

He has had an increase in headaches over the past 3 weeks. They seem to be more of a TTH rather than a migraine. (His diagnosis is NDPH which is a combination of the two.)  I noticed this increase after he got a new bicycle for his birthday. The bike is a road racing bike with curved handlebars forcing you to lean forward.

He started physical therapy today.  He doesn't have much muscle in his neck and shoulders.  I think the physical therapy will be a great help to him.

In addition to physical therapy, he is trying ostepathic manipulation therapy and massage.  We had tried massage before for his migraines and NDPH, and it was a help.

I have my fingers crossed that this will offer him some relief.
