I had my hearing for SSDI on June 11 and my lawyer says I won even though the judge didn't say anything. My lawyer believes this because the only questions the judge ask the voc rehab lady is 'is there a job that will allow me to take 8 breaks a day?' Of course she said no.
So now I wait for the official letter. But it sure sounds like I won. My RA is getting worst along with my OA and narcolepsy and fibromyalgia. It's getting harder and harder to function anymore.
I still run the Boise Fibromyalgia Support Group. I want to make it non-profit but not sure I can.
Now I wait for the letter.... and the money..... :)

I certainly hope it goes your way. How long did they say it would take? I had my SSDI hearing on May 20 and just officially found out on June 10 I am "fully disabled." Not great to see in writing from an emotional standpoint, but true. So now I wait for the rest of the process to begin. The letter said 60 days.

I was given it a few years ago because everytime I tried to go back to work, I was sick and hospitalized often due to smells, lights, you name it. However, just know that VR will possibly hound you. They do me constantly I have a degree and they say "you look fine right now, you could be in my office filing!" This is a miserable situation for me. My doc is filling out loan discharge papers for student loan debt, they also hound me, YET VR STILL THINKS THEY CAN FIND ME A JOB? They told me if a nonverbal person who can only point can work so can I. Wow.
VR isn't supposed to do anything or try if your doc says you can't work. THEY SAY they are in touch with him. His office has NEVER received any contact from them except medical records requests. With VR you are SUPPOSED to have the doc's permission before you do anything. They are mavericks I think, they say they have it and he denies it... interesting.
I wish you both the best. FOr me I have had to go before administrative law judges every year since receiving it to prove I am still disabled (yeah that does stink to see on paper) and because my husband and I got married they have already taken it away one month into marriage.
Unfortunately, he is not American and being on SSDI precludes me, we found out, from sponsoring him a visa or greencard, but they have nobody in his country who will even try to treat or help me.
Now we have to get an immigration lawyer.
