I was watching (kind of ... i had a migraine) the 5:00 news yesterday (Channel 41 in Kansas City). It said that a memory loss medication used in Alzheimer patients is showing sucess for women with migraines. Then it showed the drug and it started with an "N" but for the life of me, I can't recall it. Has anyone else heard of this? I looked on their site for the story, but couldn't find it.

The medication you're talking about is Namenda (memantine). Our own Dr. Krusz (Ask the Clinician) has been doing research on this. You can read about it in our article, Namenda for Migraine and Chronic Headache Prevention.

Thanks so much for the name - it was making me crazy:) I will read the article. I am hoping for ..well, hope. Good ol' Action ews made it sound pretty promising.
I just found this site today - which kind of surprises me. I am always looking for migraine news.

Small world... O.P. weather was great today - mid 60s. 70's tomorrow. Best part was, no headache today, so I got to enjoy it!
