yet another new medicine
into despair,
a glimmer of hope
sparkles through
the darkness.
the thread of light shines
brighter, stronger.
hope becomes reality:
euphoria!
but then,
the light fades,
quickly as it came.
the darkness seems thicker, deeper,
once again
impenetrable.
oh god--
was this only a cruel
joke?
