Hello

I'm new to this site. I'm very glad I found it

My question is: Has anyone that had been taking Midrin for their migraines been able to find a medication that works as it did?

I'm not interested in taking opiates. I dont want an addiction problem. The combination of

Isometheptene Mucate, Dichioraiphenazone, &  Acetaminophen really worked for me.

Midrin break down ingredients:

Isometheptene Mucate, a sympathomimetic amine, acts by constricting dilated cranial and cerebral arterioles, thus reducing the stimuli that lead to vascular headaches. Dichloraiphenazone, a mild sedative, reduces the patient's emotional reaction to the pain of both vascular and tension headaches.

Acetaminophen raises the threshold to painful stimuli, thus exerting an analgesic effect against all types of headaches.

Now that midrin is no longer available i have no other choice than to go to the ER when my migraines get out of control. That cost about $500.... a shot of Demeral, Visterol, and Toridol. I know those are opiates and do work, but the after effects of them suck.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have you been able to find a medication that works like midrin? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
