I thought I was incurable. I lived with migraines for 30 years and the last 10 years they got progressively worse to the point where I had beleived there was no answer. I learned different. I learned that migraines can be either; environmental (food/atmosphere tolerant), hormonal, mechanical (muscle/skeletal), other. I had all of the above. I tackled environmental, and there was nothing I could do about hormonal, but it was the mechanical that I wasn't aware of, and was holding me down and I didn't know what to do about.
It was Botox that broke the horrible stress cycle and swelling in my neck and head muscles and started me on the road of recovery. It was then that my doctor sent me to a NUCCA chiropractic that took me the extra mile. It is not just any chiropractic method, but one which is gentle and resets your head back into a proper position as it was meant to be.
I was skeptical in the beginning because, lord knows, I've tried so many remedies in my lifetime. I was afraid of Chiropractors. But it makes so much sense to me now (and the x-ray proof helps too). Your head weights about 10lbs and if it is off-kilter and sitting on a nerve, then you are bound to be getting migraines if you are subseptable to them.
My life has changed so much. I look back to last year when I wished to be dead, now to this year where I am looking forward to so much. I am seriously painting again, and I have renovated my garden area, and I am excersizing, and I am smiling!
Nine migraines a month still hurt like hell, but, I can live with those. I would encourage everyone to explore Botox and NUCCA, (Cranial adjustments). I get nothing by endorsing this, but hoping that someone else could get releif.
