I had surgery for my migraines in September. It's a very "new" procedure. My insurance approved the first time. Well, it helped the back of my head. But, just recently, I began getting Chronic migraines again. It involves tieing off arteries from the nerves in the head. In the back of the head, (above the neck) and to the sides in the temple region. This surgery helped for awhile. I was denied recently for revison of my cranial nerve. So, that being said. .I'm getting Botox injections, which help me. This may not be for everyone. As everyone is different. I have found sometimes I take Excedrin, and sometimes it helps, other times, not at all. I take other medicines, and they work sometimes and other times they don't. It's very strange. I've had these a long time. I know there is no cure. But, I think there are some Doctors trying to help us. Don't give up. I can say the doctor I had knew what he was doing, but this is still a "trial surgery", but I would do it again if I had to do it again. We are desperate for help. A cry for help is in all of us. Only "we" know our own pain, and tolerance and the feel of defeat of this horrible, disease. Stay strong, and keep faith, we are getting closer. ......I feel.

Thanks for sharing your surgery story, Denise. I'm sorry it didn't last very long, but nerves do tend to grow back, if it is the same surgery I am thinking about.
You are right, hang in there, and keep us posted!
