The Zanaflex help me some. It's just I get so tired with all the other meds I take, and these mixed with some other meds I take make me have heart palpitations. So, Good luck to you. sounds like it's helping.

I am rather new here as well.  Sometimes, I get the migraines in my neck on the left side.  It is a deep aching and boring pain.  The pain is is preceded by an aura and I have a sore upper arm and tingly thumb, index and middle finger right along with the neck pain.

I have the head migraines in the left occcular area and also have neck pain at that time but it is a stiffness type pain.  Strange how everything involves the left side.

I also suffer from abdominal migraines, migraines without headache and angina variant.

    Meredith,

So sorry for your agony. My problems are somewhat different. Weird how these bodies of ours work. I don't have abdominal migraine that I know of. I do have some stomach problems &pain, because of meds. So I have to take regular stool softener to keep from getting backed up. Almost need to call roter-rooter. Okay TMI. You get the point. My neck just always hurt. I hope the injections help.

Good luck to you too. Well, we can only pray for a cure some day.

I am truly sorry for your misery... I seem to have the opposite problem, bowel-wise.  I also take constipating meds but because of my problem with D, they don't seem to be a problem for me.

You are absolutely correct in that we need a better way to manage migraine, perhaps even cure it.  I currently read a staggering statistic stating that more people suffer with migraine than diabetes, asthma and cancer combined.  Could this be true?  If it is, whay is there not more research in this area?!

    Hey again,

Absolutely neck/cervical spine issues can trigger Migraine attacks - I know mine does! I am pain most of the time due to my head and neck thank you very much. I've had a cervical spine fusion which helped with some neuro things, but didn't make the pain go away.

It is a constant battle between lifestyle modification and pain......for me anyway.

I hope the injections work. Let us know, ok?

    Nancy,

Yes, I knew you had the fusion and I had some Laser surgery on mine. Didn't help. They want me go to therapy again, but I've been 2 times already. I'm just wanting releif.

    I will keep you informed.

    Thanks.Smile
