Hi everyone,
I am a 22 year old woman. I have had migraines and tension headaches since I was a very young child and gone through many doctors with no viable improvements. I have within the past 6 months been getting migraines and headaches more frequently-sometimes daily for a week or more.
I know that my back problems (cervical kyphosis and disk degeneration) have some degree of fault in my neurological problems but even treating that hasn't diminished my pain.
I have gone through (and still rely on some of these things) physical therapy, chiropractors, migraine medications, muscle relaxants, depression medications, birth control, food avoidances, aromatheraphy, working out, Mri's, catscans, etc etc. Muscle relaxants seem to be helping the most but my pain and migraines don't seem to want to give up!
I have recently been having a lot of problems with my job because of my migraines. I have had to take off work or leave work early because of my pain. I have taken it all off on sick time or such and have given my work doctors notes explaining my condition. But I was recently suspended from work due to absenses that seem related (ie I would leave/take off work the day before my day off more than 3 times within the past 6 months). I didn't even realize I was doing such, but they suspended me for it and I've been out of work for almost a week now. I just recieved a call today saying that I still have a job but that I need to provide yet another doctors note stating that I can work. I cannot afford to lose my job or be out of work. Even this one week of missing work will cause me to not be able to pay some of my bills.
All in all, I am just extremely frustrated with everything now. The only person I seem to get support from is my aunt who understands the dibilitating nature of migraines. Everyone else seems to think that it's impossible that I get headaches so often and so horribly. My depression is starting to kick in again even through my medication because I feel so defeated.
I also recently contacted a specialty clinic for migraines so hopefully I can get something figured out with them.
Thanks for reading and hope to get to know some of you better.
Jessie
