Well so far today, I'm moving even slower than yesterday. I woke up with a terrible migraine. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get rid of it and had to cancel my massage appointment. I was in so much pain I wouldn't have been able to stand it anyways. So, I took some medications and sl...

Hi happy,
Your psychologist is right...accepting your situation is important. BUT, it's also important that you don't give up!
Yes, migraine disease isn't just going to go miraculously away. BUT, it is very possible to find a plan that will give you good management!
Keep working and trying to find a good treatment regimen. And you've gotta keep a thorough migraine diary to keep help you to find triggers, patterns, etc. Do you see a HA specialist for your care? (Sorry, I can't seem to remember who does and who doesn't!
)
Accepting that you have a chronic illness is very different from giving in to it! OK, I'll get off my soapbox now
. I know I sometimes need to be reminded of all of this, so I'm just passing the reminder along!!
I sure hope you're feeling better tonight! You certainly do need a little break!!
Sending you lots of happy thoughts!

Thanks Jenny for your encouragement and support.
Yes, I do see a headache specialist and I follow his regimens closely. I also have a great family doctor and psychologist. Between the three of them we are getting closer than we've been in a long time.
There are just some days when the pain won't go away and I get so frustrated. I am enjoying using this website as a place to journal my feelings among those who understand.
Thanks Again
