Hello to everyone - it's been so hard to work with the computer that I have been reluctant to spend a lot of extra time in front of the computer.  I am spending many days preparing concerts, and writing grants - which (LOL) Blink  is a trigger - yikes. In the coming days I will update you all on my progress and hey - one year ago I was in the hospital - so working now - albeit with attacks and chronic pain - which is "better" than a year ago (yes!)!

I will write soon - though I am in the middle of another grant for my classical Duo - and it justs eats up my eyes - and is a trigger as I said. Sorry for my absence so long -

all the best to Teri and the gang and everyone -

Ian

Big Smile Hey, Ian!  I was actually going to email you later today and make sure you were okay, send you hugs, and all that jazz.  Nice to see you surface!

Thank you for thinking of me Big Smile They found damage in c5-c6 vertebrae (old spelling I think) so I have a traction device I do every day -check one off in the trigger department - it helps some! So nice to hear from you!

Hugs

Thanks for the nice comments.  My last month has been really something.  I need very much to write about it on the blog.  Things got so bad in June that my neuro decided to so something he had only done with three other patients.  I was in a valium induced light coma in intensive care for five days to try and reset my brain.  I remember very little until I was recovering in regular care afterwards - but even that is a bit foggy.  I am still dealing with some residual problems from the treatment though they are getting better. (My memory). And in the past two weeks I went without a migraine which was a record for me but it came to a crashing halt last night with a serious migraine I had to treat.  My abortive and pain medicine did pretty well and I didn't get into the barfing - so that was good.  I am trying to do my teaching today but I am in the post migraine fog and still have some residual pain.  So - the verdict is out on my drastic treatment - but the two weeks were heaven.  Still have my terrible neuropathy all over my body - no one or medication seems to be able to take care of that - seems like I have to live with it and it's not fun. Thanks so much for writing and I hope that you are avoiding your triggers -

All the best -

Ian
