Migraines that last for several days

  • I was so interested to read the post by CEB56.  I have known many who suffer from migraines, but she is the first I've heard speaking about one that lasts for several days.  They temporarily ruin your life.  I've tried every med available, accupuncture, chiropractor, massage etc.  Nothing helps except painkillers, and they only dull the edge.

    Hello, and welcome to MyMigraineConnection.com!

I'm so glad you enjoyed CEB's sharepost, but at the same time it's not "normal" to have Migraine pain lasting that long. In fact, Migraine pain lasting longer than 72 hours without a four-hour, pain-free break while awake may be a condition called Status Migrainous and needs immedicate medical attention. This may put us at an increased risk for stroke. You can read more about this in: Status Migrainous - The Basics.
