How does Pain
define this moment?
The pinpoint that spreads
out and in.
It negates
all desire,
except to be
free of
the pain.
And yet,
it is within
that I go,
completely
self-centered.
Work through,
go within,
medicate,
obfuscate,
the pain.
Ignore it?
No,
it has,
something to tell
me.
Something
veiled,
on the edge,
beyond,
my tiny reach,
(I will no longer shoulder the burden)
